I've had the privilege of working with pianist and composer Gary Smart for many years, on all sorts of projects to include solo and chamber groups, to full blown orchestra. He is a Grammy nominated composer, and his music reflects his adventurous spirit and technical writing abilities. He embraces the art form of composing and includes many styles in his writing, and is equally at home performing the works of great classical composers and the great Broadway writers of yesteryear. His music is rich in harmonic structure and he loves the use of tension and release. Always looking for new challenges and a fresh approach, he is a pioneer among today's composers.
