Greetings and thanks for stopping by!  I wanted to present some of the finer concert and project moments I have fortunately been involved in over the last five years, because I get to record so much good music!! Special thanks to Kathy Wallace at Beaches Fine Arts,  Terrance Patterson and the Ritz Chamber Players, Bill Boxer of the St. Augustine Chamber Series, composer Gary Smart, JB Scott and Lisa Kelly, and so many others I know that will remind me….  Scroll below and work up to the latest additions.   I hope you enjoy!

Ritz Chamber Players

BEETHOVEN Eyeglass Duo ALLEGRO

Performed this past April, this work is attributed to early Beethoven, and was left as an unfinished manuscript; two movements of what likely was intended to be a three- or four-movement work.

The "Eyeglasses Duo" (officially Duet with Two Obbligato Eyeglasses, WoO 32) got its famous nickname as an inside joke between friends. Beethoven wrote it around 1796 for himself (on viola) and his close friend and cellist, Baron Nikolaus Zmeskall. Because both men suffered from poor eyesight, the original manuscript was humorously subtitled "Mit zwei obligaten Augengläsern" (With two obbligato eyeglasses). Here the ALLEGRO movement is performed by Ritz Chamber Players Kervonna Shuford on viola and Khari Joyner on cello.

GOITSE!

The multi-award-winning quintet Goitse continues to blaze  trails as one of Ireland’s most dynamic and celebrated traditional ensembles. Forged in the white-hot creative crucible of Limerick’s Irish World Academy, the band is now celebrating 15 years of touring worldwide, captivating audiences with their signature blend of original compositions and timeless traditional tunes.

Their artistry has not gone unnoticed: the band members and their music were recently featured on the hit Apple TV series Bad Sisters, introducing their sound to an even broader global audience. This was a concert performed in March for St. Patrick's Day hosted by Beaches Fine Arts Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Avi Avital with the Viano String Quartet

Avi Avital is the first mandolin soloist to be nominated for a classical Grammy.  It is a fantastic instrument to add to the string quartet, and speaking of, the Viano String Quartet here are a hot item on the string quartet scene today.  This selection is the third movement of a six part miniture written by Sukhan Tsintsadze, a Russian born composer.  This was a concert presernted by Beaches Fine Arts Jacksonville Beach, Florida in February of 2026.

Poulenc Trio

A pioneering oboe, bassoon, and piano ensemble, The Poulenc Trio has garnered international recognition over its 20-year history, with performances in 47 U.S. states and at prestigious music festivals around the world.  Here they are joined by an amazing young accordion virtuoso, Hanzi Wang.   Hanzi holds degrees from the China Central Conservatory and The Royal Danish Academy of Music, and is the only accordionist to win a place on the roster of Young Concert Artists in its 63 year history.   This concert made possible by Beaches Fine Arts,  Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
